Research
SOCEN brings together a significant number of both experienced and younger researchers, eminent professors and lecturers from Montenegro and the region, who conduct various types of qualitative and quantitative research. These researches, primarily, aim to support other programs and activities implemented by SOCEN, and to indicate, through qualitative and quantitative data, the level of achieved standards in the processes of modernization of Montenegrin society.
Research enables the measurement of citizens’ satisfaction and their perception of issues that are important for the development of democracy, rule of law, citizen participation in policy making and decision-making, and other issues of importance to society as a whole. Thanks to these researches, it is possible to make comparative analyzes, ie comparative studies on the basis of which the progress of Montenegro in different areas is monitored, in comparison with the countries of the region or in comparison with previous periods. Also, the research will provide insight into the readiness to reach the standards of developed countries, in the context of fulfilling the obligations undertaken in agreements with international and European partners.
