Students of the Niksic high school “Stojan Cerovic” won today the first place in the knowledge competition called “Military call – an opportunity for young people”, organized by the NGO Sociological Center of Montenegro – SOCEN. The competition included about 60 high school students from all over Montenegro, with the aim of bringing young people closer to all activities in the domain of the Montenegrin Army, but also important strategic documents, such as the Strategic Defense Review, Long-Term Defense Development Plan 2019-2028 and Human Resources Management Strategy. and the Army of Montenegro.

The project, financially supported by the Montenegrin Ministry of Defense, also aimed to improve young people’s knowledge of Montenegro’s defense system and conscription, and increase their interest in education, training, employment and career advancement offered by the military conscription.

The final national competition for Montenegrin high school students, held today at the University of Donja Gorica, was preceded by several months of successful preparations of high school students to participate in the national quiz, ie successful training on key segments of the Montenegrin defense system, strategic goals from legal, strategic acts and other documents. , Euro-Atlantic integration, obligations and opportunities that Montenegro has as a NATO member.

On that occasion, in cooperation with the Ministry of Defense of Montenegro, an Info Day was organized in order to adequately present the competition of the Ministry of Defense for education and training of students in foreign educational institutions, presenting the possibility of voluntary military service and employment as a professional soldier, and career development within the defense system of Montenegro.
