Military call - an opportunity for young people
Within the program of Public Policy and European Integration, SOCEN is implementing a project called Military Call – an opportunity for young people. This project focuses on activities that will ensure greater information and education of young people on foreign policy, security and defense issues, including issues on NATO. In accordance with that, the project is designed to popularize the military vocation among young people in Montenegro through various types of activities, all in accordance with the goals set by the Human Resources Management Strategy in the Ministry of Defense and the Army of Montenegro. The project activities will improve the knowledge of young people about the defense system of Montenegro and the military vocation and increase their interest in education, training, employment and career advancement offered by the military vocation. In order to achieve the planned goals, the project team will, among other things, develop a short manual on the opportunities and opportunities that education and employment in military structures offer to young people in Montenegro.
Dialogues and Culture: Improving the Culture of Dialogue and Multiculturalism in Montenegro
Within the program Democracy and Rule of Law, SOCEN is implementing a project called Dialogues and Culture: Improving the Culture of Dialogue and Multiculturalism in Montenegro. The project, first of all, points out the importance of preserving diversity and multicultural harmony, and indirectly the importance of protecting human rights and freedoms of vulnerable groups. The general goal of all project activities is to improve the equality of members of minority nations and other minority national communities, by raising the level of knowledge and awareness of young people about multiculturalism. Within the project, workshops will be organized with high school and university students on key topics for multiculturalism, as well as a three-day school of multiculturalism – “Dialogues and Culture”. In addition, SOCEN will conduct a survey among pupils and students on knowledge of the general principles of multiculturalism and, based on the obtained results, develop recommendations for improving mechanisms that would ensure long-term improvement of young people’s knowledge of multicultural policies and their readiness to accept cultural diversity.
Innovations to greater synergy of science and economy
Within the program of Public Policy and European Integration, SOCEN is implementing a project called Innovation to greater synergy of science and economy. Project activities are aimed at achieving greater networking and greater awareness of universities in the economy and vice versa, and increase the awareness of entrepreneurs about the necessity and benefits of professional development of young researchers. Through a wide range of very different project activities, SOCEN will improve the cohesion of these two sectors, strengthen the research and scientific potential of Montenegro and contribute to improving the technological development of the economy and raising the overall level of knowledge in society. In addition, the project has the effect of increasing activism, strengthening critical thinking and the entrepreneurial spirit of young people.
